With all the ups
and downs in the market, we wanted to give you and update.
The legal market in
the Bay Area is still going strong even with the closing of a major law
firm
and several hiring freezes and layoffs.
There are still legal job opportunities for
qualified applicants.
Throughout the
year we have observed all practice areas
including patent, trademark, corporate and litigation are hiring.
Another
positive note worth mentioning is that salaries have held for the past
ten
months, and there have been a mix of positions available from junior
level to
more senior and a few entry level opportunities as well.
We are excited
to share that we will be launching a new and
improved KBA website in 2009 that will be more efficient and will
better assist
users with their job searches.
In the meantime,
we want to remind you that we still pay our
